En welke titels zijn dan die 70/80 jaren jazzrock en fusion Lp,s?

Gelukkig maakt die ene CD van Players veel goed. Wel eens het solowerk van bassist Jeff Berlin gehoord? Ik weet hoe dat klinkt.

4 dubbel op de mat. STEVE KHAN ,arrows, 1979 (Sony/Jpn) Orgineel. Van deze CD zijn er slechts 750 stuks gemaakt, waarvan de eerste 250 stuks zijn uitgebracht in de standaard jewel case uitvoering (zie foto), de overige 500 stuks zijn zg Mini Lp sleeve covers. Deze Cd is uitsluitend in Japan verschenen, en heeft mij veel gekost! (Maar de hoge prijs ben ik allang weer vergeten). UNDER THE LAKE ,dive in, 1993 (Pal Music) Verder spannende powerfusion uit Japan. HIROKUNI KOREKATE ,asian street style, 2004 (Ragmania) Tenslotte een sampler met nummers van de... Furukawa Brothers.

In welke winkel was jij dan geweest? Zeker bij de Blokker. Daar hebben ze net als in Amsterdam, alleen maar verstand van fusion koken.

Deze (Nederlandse) fusion CD is best wel aardig. (Uit 1996 Ecovata) Hij komt uit Maastricht, en is zijn tweede CD (Uit 1995/96) en bevat erg mooi gitaarwerk. Bromberg speeld hier op bass, en het klinkt ongeveer naar Larry Carlton. Zijn eerste CD ''this of for you'' (Optimist 1988) is ronduit.

Ik ook, heb van hem (Chuck Laughlin) enkele prive Cd,s voor (heel hoge) prijzen overgenomen, en was zeer tevreden over de afloop. Sterker nog, hij wilde mij volledig schadeloos stellen als de Cd zending verdwenen zou zijn. Ook Sayonara heeft goede ervaringen met Muzikquest.

Was effe wat aan het klooien op het internet, kwam ik deze fusion CD tegen. David Hines: Nebula (2005) Die bezetting alleen al, met Holdsworth, mijn favoriete gitarist. The Band : David Hines on Bass Steve Hunt on Keys Steve Kirby on Guitar Steve Michaud on Drums Deze Cd is nog niet uit, maar heb Steve Hunt wel alvast gemaild dat hij mij meteen een moet opsturen zodra die CD uitkomt.

Spannende mix tussen ambient/fusion en symfo. De Pink Floyd (gitaar) invloeden zijn hier duidelijk hoorbaar. PLANET X ,blue world, 1999 (Blo Records) Lees dit maar eens. Planet X is an original project from the mind and studio of California based guitarist Brett Michael Spunt. If you're into guitars, Electronic, Trance, Ambient, New Age, Progressive Rock, Mood Music, or just music with soul, check out the music on Blue World. This CD is for people "into music." Blue World is not boring new age stuff lacking intensity, but music that has no boundaries. Planet X's main instrument is a scorching lead guitar taking the role of the singer, augmented with synth instrumentation, analog keys, electronic sounds, vox humana, chants, pianos, etc. Spunt's musical influences range from Joe Satriani to Enigma to Crystal Method to Pink Floyd to classical, and any music that is "heartfelt." ''noisynights'' 1988 en ''club'' 1989 zijn eigenlijk de beste, de andere (oa twee live) Uzeb platen zijn niet echt slecht, maar ook geen hoogvliegers. Heb er zelf 5 Cd,s van (4 studio en een dubbel live CD). Uitstekend is mischien wat groot gezegd, maar buiten twee nummers om vind ik zelf die CD niet de moeite waard, bovendien is Stern nauwelijks tot niet te horen op deze CD.
